Waxing effectively removes all hairs from a client’s desired treatment area, leaving the skin fresh, smooth, and hair-free. We offer both hard and soft wax.
The advantages of waxing include:
First, we cleanse and prep the skin to remove dirt and oils. Depending on the area, soft or hard wax is chosen. Then, we apply the wax in the direction of hair growth. Once the wax is dry, it is quickly removed from the skin, taking all the hair from the area with it. Waxing can last between 3-6 weeks, depending on one’s hair growth, the wax’s location, and the application’s accuracy.
It is recommended that the hair is ¼ inch long or the length of a grain of rice.
We recommend waxing every four to five weeks.
Waxing is generally considered an unavoidably uncomfortable procedure as your hair is being pulled from its roots. The first waxing session causes the most discomfort as the hairs are thick and deeply rooted. After the first session, most clients report less pain and discomfort from their waxing treatments as the hairs are thinner, finer, and softer.
No exercising, going to tanning beds or putting lotion on your skin after the procedure. It can cause or worsen irritation.
After you wax, we recommend using a bacterial antimicrobial product to prevent ingrown hairs, minimize pore size, and reduce hair growth. You can also physically exfoliate with a salt scrub.
Clients should not shave or pluck hair in between waxing treatments as it can result in patchy hair growth, razor burn, and ingrown hairs.
